This homemade applesauce recipe is made from 2 ingredients and is ready in under 30 minutes. Its is a simple, quick and delicious recipe. Enjoy this applesauce as a snack, or dessert or as a compliment to a main meal.

Applesauce is so versatile, it is a great substitute for eggs in baking cakes, muffins or even making pancakes. Applesauce can also be enjoyed with yoghurt or ice cream. It

Apple sauce:

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Makes: 250ml



5 medium Apples (Peeled and roughly chopped)

1/3 cup/ 80ml water



1. Combine ingredients in a small pot and cook over a medium heat for 10 minutes until apples are soft.

2. Use a masher or blender to mash the apples to your desired consistency.

3. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container, or store it in the freezer for up to 1 month.
