Healthy eating is so important to my loved ones and I, I don't know what says I love you more the healthy chocolate truffles. These Valentine's Day truffles are made out of 5 ingredients, which are all combined into a food processor to form yummy and rich dark chocolate truffles.
What makes these truffles Valentine's Day truffles is the vibrant red sprinkles that cover these delightful chocolate balls. As we all know, red is the colour of the day.
Valentine's Day Truffles (Chocolate Truffles)
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 0 minutes
1 cup/250ml dates
¼ cup/ 60ml cocoa powder
60g dark chocolate (melted)
1T/ 15ml coconut flour
Pinch of salt
Red sprinkles for garnish
1. In a food processor combine all the ingredients except the red sprinkles. Process until all the ingredients are blended and a sticky dough is formed.
2.Switch off the food processor and remove the blade. Use a tablespoon to measure out the truffles and roll into balls. Coat the truffles in the red sprinkles by rolling the truffles in the sprinkles.
3. Place the truffles in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour to harden slightly before serving.
4. Store the truffles in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or store in the freezer for up to 1 month.
If your dates are not soft, soak the dates in hot water for 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how hard they are.
